Undergraduate Program

The B.Eng. degree program is highly structured. In the first year, all BEng students take the same Engineering core courses regardless of which program they pursue. The Engineering core includes courses in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering Fundamentals, English, and Chemistry. In the second year, students select a specific department and degree program. The program is normally completed in four years and eight months. This includes four mandatory co-op work terms that provide sixteen months worth of relevant work experience. Although the program is highly structured, it still provides enough flexibility that it can be completed from as soon as four years to a maximum of 80 months.

Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) Programs Overview

The B.Eng. in Electrical or Computer Engineering program offers eight specializations:

Specialization is optional. A specialization consists of technical courses focused on one of the technical areas indicated above. ECE also offers the following options to students wishing to pursue even further in the subject area covered by an option. Options are additional courses that are offered beyond a B. Eng. degree requirement.
