## Binary linear codes consist of 2K codewords, each codeword is a binary vector of length N.

## Any two codewords add (modulo 2) to form another codeword.

## Codes are described by generator matrices which effectively form a basis for the (N,K) code.

## A very simple code is the single parity check (SPC) code. eg (3,2) SPC code
