The dimmer circuit was first tested on a conventional incandescent bulb.  With the circuit we were able to dim the light conventional bulb to 0% of full power.

The dimmer circuit was then tested on the street lamp, where we were only able to achieve 64% of full power.  Reducing the power beyond this point was unattainable because the bulb would extinguish itself. Due to the complex physics of the bulb, we are uncertain towards the limiting factors involved causing the lamp to extinguish.  Some hypothesis of the limiting factors could include:
