the following describes several tests performed with the waveGUIde(tm).

FFT test:
The FFT algorithm was fed a wave form made up of two known sinusoidal frequency components.
The positions of the peaks corresponded to the frequencies in the signal.

Simultaneous play and record test:
Various sounds were input and their outputs recorded to a wave file. The resulting wave files were listened to and analysed in Cool Edit Pro, a sound manipulation and analysis application, to confirm that the sound was recorded 'correctly'. This was obviously not a precise test as there are many unknowns in the system.

Frequency spectrum analysis:
FFT's were performed on wave files recorded using white noise input and various combinations of bass treble settings. The following images are plots for the FFTs.
