-A successfully presentation |
I
would have to say that the presentations went well. The module
worked flawlessly as we thought it would. The only down side is
that we felt that our presentation was not flashy enough. It did
however show the purpose well (even though no one seemed to know
what a valve block was).

-Jon's streak of all nighters |
In
order to create a PCB in time for alberta printed circuits to
make it Jon worked really hard. About 4 in the morning on the
thursday before the presentation we got our gerber files out the
door and the PCB was on its way. Now the day before the presentation
we have a nice fully operational Prototype on a PCB. This project
is COMPLETE! |

-Firmware and Software Progress |
Well
as they say "When it rains it pours". After a couple
weeks of worrying about being able to get the project done because
of the firmware, driver and ultimately API problems, we have got
all of it mostly done. It's now a mad rush to create a PCB and
touch up the firmware. As for what we did to make our project
work? Well we found some better example software and switched
to using a generic HID driver that comes with windows. Currently
a basic system runs and runs well. Touch ups on the firmware include
making sure the power requirements are met and adding some additional
functionality. |

-Driver Development |
Currently
I am working on the driver. This is not as easy as I had hoped.
Most of the documentation and examples are for bulk and isocronous
transfer types. Currently I am using a software suit by a company
called B-squared. The driver development kit helps you in allot
of areas but it also comes with some good documentation so that
you can learn more about general driver creation. |

-Web site |
I
have Just updated the web site so that it looks nice and so that
we can post our documents and schedule. I hope to be posing news
here as often as I can through the creation of the USB modules. |
