Verification is where the real test of the system and user is. The user supplies a user name to the program and a recording of their voice password. A comparison is then made between the just recorded voice and the voiceprint of the user. If the average distortion is higher than the threshold, then the user fails the verification; if it is lower, then they pass. The comparison, like in the threshold creation module, is done by calculating the average euclidean distance between the test vectors and code vectors. Below are plots of two verification situations. In the first plot the true user being verified and in the second plot the user is an imposter. Note the distance bewteen the O's and X's.
