Overview
A Sonic Pulsed Altimeter was researched and designed in response to the need
for an inexpensive altimeter to aid bush pilots to land in calm lake conditions
where conventional altimeters cannot operate, or are too expensive. The design
specifications for this sonic altimeter was a range of 0 - 40m, with a resolution
of 30cm, using a 10kHz pulsed wave.
