PRACTICAL OPTIMIZATION: Algorithms and Engineering Applications
Pre-publication Reviews
- I would definitely use this book for my course. The authors are very
well known and their previous books have been classics in the area.
They are outstanding teachers and have written a number of readable
texts. Courses on optimization in engineering and business schools
could use this text. Also, this book could be used in conjunction
with another book on filter designs in digital filters courses.

- There are many books on optimization. While the material is in no
way restricted to the signal processing community, this book will be
unique and valuable because the authors write very well for signal
processing audiences. The authors are certainly well known for both
their research and their teaching abilities. There is a strong need
for such a book.
