Schlieren Ocean Imaging
Dr. Paul Kraeutner Co-investigator #1 Coinvestigator #2 web: www.notyetavailable.com The Schlieren Ocean Imaging project explores the use of Schlieren and shadowgraph optical imaging methods for acoustic imaging of fluid turbulence and density fluctuations. The objective is to develop a new method for both large and small scale turbulent flow imaging in the ocean. The method is ideally suited for acoustical oceanography applications around sub-sea observatory platforms. |
