ELEC 531 Digital Filters: I
Course Description
Introduction of the digital filter as a discrete systems. Discrete-time transfer function. Time-domain and frequency-domain analysis. Structures for recursive and nonrecursive digital filters. Application of digital filters for the processing of continuous time signals. Solution of the approximation problem in recursive and nonrecursive filters. Quantization effects. Students are required to complete a project. (Prerequisite: 310, 350, or equivalent) Note: Not open to students with credit in 407.
