And as promised, instructions on how to map the elec200 project directory in Windows XP. Please note that we will need to add users to our Samba server in order for them to map this drive successfully.

1. In the Start menu, right-click on My Computer and select Map Network Drive...

2. Type \\engrhome\elec200 as the folder (you may have to type \\home.engr.uvic.ca\elec200 if your workstation cannot resolve the Netbios name of engrhome).

3. If you want to map the drive every time you start your computer, check the Reconnect at logon box.

4. If you are logged into a machine in the ELEC 200 lab, you can click Finish

click on Connect using a different user name. You will then have to enter in your username and password which you use to connect to the machines in the ELEC 200 lab.
