• Foosball is my favorite hobby in the school. Whenever it is time to take a break from work, playing foosball with friends is usually the first thing that comes to my mind. To cheer friends up, I have coordinated friendly tournaments called Persian Foosball Championship every summer at UVic starting from 2011.

  • Running is one of my favourite sports. Honestly, I started running just to lose weight, but after a few months, I discovered my strong passion for it. My favorite spots for running in Victoria are UVic Alumni Trail, Elk & Beaver Lake Trail, Willow Beach, Beacon Hill Park, West Bay Walkway and of course Dallas Road.

"People sometimes sneer at those who run every day, claiming they'll go to any length to live longer. But don't think that's the reason most people run. Most runners run not because they want to live longer, but because they want to live life to the fullest. If you're going to while away the years, it's far better to live them with clear goals and fully alive then in a fog, and I believe running helps you to do that. Exerting yourself to the fullest within your individual limits: that's the essence of running, and a metaphor for life - and for me, for writing as whole. I believe many runners would agree" - Haruki Murakam.

  • I love Biking too. It always reminds me of the carefree days of my childhood when my brothers and I biked the whole summer together. My favorite biking trails in Victoria are Galloping Goose and Louchside.

"Life is like riding a bicycle: you don't fall off unless you stop pedaling." Claude Pepper

  • Swimming is one of my weekend hobbies. During summer, I prefer outdoor swimming. Happily, there are many amazing swimming spots in Victoria. My favorite ones are Durrance lake, Sooke Potholes and Beaver lake.
